Chanel has released a new commercial short for their classic and iconic No. 5 fragrance. The new ad says goodbye to former representative Nicole Kidman and hello to Audrey Tatou. Although the switch was most likely for strategic reasons, as the French actress plays Coco Chanel in the upcoming biopic, I would like to think of it as an upgrade. Chanel is such an elegant and classy brand, but I don’t get Karl Lagerfeld’s choices sometimes when it comes to picking brand representatives. Lily Allen? Then again I guess that is why he is Karl Lagerfeld and I am just a guy writing about fashion. The spot features a short romance in a traditional boy meets girl scenario and takes place on the Orient Express.
