Band of Outsiders F/W 2009 Releases

I have always liked Band of Outsiders, although I will admit they are a tad bit too pricey for my tastes.  They have had this ability to combine eclectic flare with a great cut and fit.  If you haven’t taken the time to check out their fall / winter 2009 lookbook featuring Jason Schwartzman, you really owe it to yourself to invest the time.  I am not sure what it is about these fall / winter 2009 October releases by Band of Outsiders, but I am feeling in the mood to make some trend predictions for the coming months.  First, I am thinking that there will be a slow and gradual return of the School-Boy Blazer with piping or contrasted edges.  A “geek” or “nerd” style has been around for a while and I really think this is the next progression with the slimmer and slimmer pieces I have been seeing recently.  Second, I am also going to “double-down” and predict that tweed will be huge in the next few months as it gets colder and colder.  Due in large part to the evolution of the current hunting-inspired trend I have been watching and the over-abundance of work boots, tweed seems to be right in line with the ruggedness.  Both these trends you will note can be seen in this release by Band of Outsiders for October in three nicely cut School-Boy Blazers, a Toggle Coat, tailored trousers, tweed vest, and a few simple button-down pieces.
