“What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas,” except when it involves Marisa Miller. We’ve all seen the stunning beauty in everything from multi-million dollar fantasy bras to intricate Victoria’s Secret runway costumes, but never have I seen her looking quite like she does in this shoot for Vegas Magazine’s April 2010 issue. I am going to go ahead and stop typing now because I am absolutely positive that most of you have already stopped reading. And, for that I do not blame you.

Victoria’s Secret Valentine’s Day Collection

Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching upon us and whether you’re a man or a woman I suggest you get your plans set in motion. Unlike most men, Victoria’s Secret doesn’t wait for the last minute to committ to the festivities and has already released their 2010 Valentine’s Day Collection. Modeled by the always gorgeous Miranda Kerr, there is a plethora of cherry patterns, pink sheer fabrics and suspenders to go around. Now if only I could get past the nausea caused by the over-abundance of candy hearts, pink and red over-priced flowers, and the cliche “show how much you love me by showering me with affection, costly outings, and gifts.” I buy in to the holiday, if you can even call it that, but can we all just admit that the day is a total farce? Wouldn’t it be better to have a national “Give to Charity Day” and treat the ones you love like you love them all year long instead of on one day? Personally, I am not buying roses this year. I am going to make a donation to a charity that needs it instead.

Backstage at Victoria’s Secret 2009 Show

Style.com asked Tommy Ton, of the Jak and Jil Blog (One of my favorite sites.), to swap the boulevards of Paris for the backstage area at the Victoria’s Secret show at the Lexington Armory. No surprise, he found plenty to shoot: Giuseppe Zanotti‘s spectacular footwear, rhinestones by the ton, and more sun-kissed flesh than you’d see on a beach in Marbella. These photos were graciously provided by Tommy Ton as a teaser for the whole photo editorial you can find on Style.com in an article titled “Touched by Angels.” Also, I’m attaching a video which gives you a glimpse into the days before the show, a backstage look during it, and finally a look at some of the end result on the runway. What can I say, I am a giver.

Surprisingly I have never heard about DT Magazine before spotting these images out there on the World Wide Web. But, after a quick Google search and some drooling over pictures of Brook Burke and Megan Fox I can tell you that I am now officially acclimated to their rather interesting body of work. (Pick a pun, any pun, it was intended.) If you happen to be among the few who are still reading allow me to deliver you a present for you loyal following of my stunning writing caliber. Not only does Miss Ambrosio “knock your socks off” in this shoot for the November 2009 issue, but this post also serves as a reminder that tonight, December 1, 2009 is the annual airing of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Stimulating and informative, what more could you want? Now go home tell all of your friends and family (or for extra credit, strangers) about how amazing this site is, find out which station is CBS, and make sure you don’t miss out because I will verbally abuse you if you miss it. Oh, and for those of you out there in Wonderland who may consider this post to be perverted I will gladly point out that the aesthetic value of the imagery combined with the inherent sociological irony of the rural western setting provides not only a brilliantly well lit ambiance, but also a complete fallacy as to what you should expect to see in Oklahoma. I know, I was just there.
