For V Magazine‘s 65th Issue they figured summer is a time for friends and put theirs to work asking them to their barely-there sea side snaps. The makeshift shoot titled “Where Were You… On The Beach?” features Miranda Kerr, Bar Refaeli, Raquel Zimmerman and even a topless Terry Richardson who answered the call. Definitely not your ordinary fashion feature, but in a way a better look at what these icons are actually wearing when their not getting paid to be shot.

Kirsten Dunst for V Magazine

When it comes to Kirsten Dunst I don’t exactly know how to feel. Being dressed in Rodarte, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy, Louis Vuitton, Burberry and more and then shot by the great Mario Testino would make nearly any woman look sexy. But, the question remains. Is she or isn’t she? V Magazinetoys with your perceptions of reality in an article titled “The Art of Being Kirsten Dunst” in their latest and greatest Issue #64. With a vintage twist these images make you question whether or not you would walk by Kirsten Dunst if she weren’t a celebrity and hit on her or simply just keep walking. For me, the jury is still out.

Hitting newsstands Thursday, January 14, 2010 V Magazine (Issue #63): “The Size Issue” features this interesting editorial titled “V Love U Just the Way U R.” Shot by Photographer Terry Tsiolis and styled by Jay Massacret the shoot pays homage to the uniqueness that is you with V Magazine proclaiming “Tall, Thin, Short, Curvy, Punk, Prep, Dom, Deb. Whoever you are, and whoever you want to be, we’re with you all the way!” The images are eclectic and fun while the models are everything but ordinary. I just goes to show that you don’t have to be anyone besides yourself in order to be fashionable. I dig it!

Alexa Chung for V Magazine

Alexa Chung was recently interviewed by Derek Blasberg and shot by photographer Sharif Hamza as part of a small interview for V Magazine. You may recall that back in April of this year Alexa was awarded the #4 spot on Glamour’s best dressed list. So, it should come as no surprise that the shoot which accompanies this editorial features the beauty in a Stella McCartney jumpsuit, a Dolce & Gabbana dress, and a Chanel top, skirt, and belt covered ever so subtly by Miss Chung’s own jacket. I think the irony of the high-fashion attire shot in a bowling alley was an interesting choice. Below you will find the first paragraph of the editorial titled “Let’s Talk About Alexa Chung,” I found it pretty interesting.

Alexa Chung, the recent London expat and Brooklyn resident whose MTV show It’s On with Alexa Chung took over the coveted TRL spot this summer, is a busy lady. An average day goes something like this: up at 6:40 a.m., she gets dressed and heads over the Williamsburg Bridge to the MTV offices. Once there, she’s briefed, goes through the day’s scripts, gets her hair and makeup done, and reviews her audio cues. Next, she’s on set, where she greets the day’s special guests, pumps up the crowd, and does her show. The audience goes nuts, the show ends, there are meetings about the next day’s schedule, then a security guard walks her to her car for the ride home. It was there, in the backseat, that she finally found time to do an interview. Here, the new darling of daytime talk discusses her hit show, grumpy guests, and her new life on this side of the pond.

The girl is a talented and successful actress, is getting a degree from Harvard, and she looks this good? I am convinced that Natalie Portman has sold her soul to the devil. Famed photographer Mario Testino shot Miss Portman in London for the November/December 2009 V Magazine Issue #62. Styled by Claire Richardson you are presented here with a preview of the three cover shots in addition to the full editorial spread that all highlight a ompadour hairstyle and a super sexy androgynous look. The actress talked to the magazine about her first-ever sex scene in the upcoming war drama, “Brothers,” where she’s the loyal wife of a marine, played by Tobey Maguire. Also in the issue, which hits newsstands today, Gisele Bündchen spoke to Testino about Rio, the subject of his latest book, and Hedi Slimane shot a 10-page “rock couture” feature with Natalia Vodianova. I just want you all to know that I called “dibs” first.

V Magazine shot a faux tattooed Cameron Diaz for the cover of their 2009 “Beauty Issue” set to hit stores tomorrow, July 7, 2009. The 36-year-old actress was photographed for this Madonna inspired shoot by duo Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott in London. While I will be the first to admit that I thoroughly enjoy the seriousness of the Prada boots and shorts, the cone braw is just ridiculous. That bad boy should have been left in the circa True Blue Madonna era.

V Magazine Swimsuit Issue

Talk about hotness. V Magazine decides to take six supermodels, get photographer Mario Testino behind the lens, and then put out their first ever swimsuit issue. How could the results not be spectacular? Stephen Gan the Editor in Chief of V Magazine gave the fashion middle finger to the Sports Illustrated equivalent if you ask me. It has become too commercial and placid anyway. Claudia Schiffer, Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Naomi Campbell, Eva Herzigova and Daria Werbowy round out the “super” part of the cast and are supported by Isabeli Fontana, Doutzen Kroes, Raquel Zimmermann, Carmen Kass, Frankie Ryder, and Edita Vikeviciute to name a few. The V59 issue is on stands now and features bright, bold colors on its multiple available covers.
