Since we have been posting about the latest studded trend, why not keep it going? Fresh off the shelf is this collaborative effort from Hellz and Reebok set to launch this Black Friday, November 27, 2009. Dubbed the “Top Down,” the hi-top sneakers feature a simple black/white colorway with a roll-down flap and perforated leather uppers. It comes with optional shoe string colors (black and neon yellow), tonal stud detailing and a punk rock attitude to go along with it. Now hold on to your jockstraps fellas, this is a female only drop from the funky women’s apparel brand. Now just close your eyes and imagine Borat standing in front of you saying “You will never get this!”

Saint Alfred x Reebok Pump 20

With the official release just on the horizon, St. Alfred drops this early peek in to their Reebok Pump 20 collaboration. ”The shoe was inspired by the world of blue-collar aesthetics with the symbolic use of heavy duty Carhartt-esque canvas upper in tan as well as a tribute to workboots thanks to the lacing and eyelets incorporated into the high-top.” I quoted the source, Hypebeast, on this one because quite frankly I was so in awe of the shoe that I am legitimately considering picking these up. Me likey!

Orchard Street x Reebok Fuze 1.0

Streetwear retailer Orchard Street must have some seriously good connections with Reebok because they have been lucky enough to score a collaboration with the footwear brand on its newest silhouette, the Fuze 1.0. In the shoe game it is no secret that the Velcro strap has become a standard piece of the latest and greatest to hit the market in recent months. In addition to a couple of straps across the forefoot, the new Fuze 1.0 features Velcro straps unusually placed on the heel area. Reebok and Orchard Street also apply the “business as usual” laces, which makes for a unique combination to say the least. The shoe’s silhouette is similar to that of a lot of high-end and equally high priced fashionable offerings from the likes of Lanvin and Trussardi for example. Save some money and compromise little on looks, I’m in.

Reebok ERS 5000 Maeda Reduce

Reebok’s teaming up with graphic designer and mathematician John Maeda goes as far back as 2007, but the metallic hotness you see before you doesn’t need that long of a commitment to appreciate. Drawing inspiration from numbers, his aesthetics would be rooted in intricate programming and coding. In a fall/winter release, John Maeda introduces a shoe based on Law 1: Reduce, taken from his book The Laws of Simplicity. Law 1 states that “the simplest way to achieve simplicity is through thoughtful reduction.” No, I have no idea what the hell that means either. Thankfully I don’t have to understand it to like the end result which is a tonal metallic silver upper based on the running model, ERS 5000.

Reebok 7 Deadly Sins Pack

Reebok has taken their iconic Pump Omni Lite model and released a new pack titled “7 Deadly Sins.” Each model will have a tonal color with complimenting matching accents and special lace locks for each deadly sin. Electric Yellow for Greed, Purple for Pride, Azure for Sloth, Red for Wrath, Orange for Glutany, Light Green for Envy, and Blue for Pride. You can expect timed releases starting this month and running through September of this year. I’m feeling a little greedy myself personally and wouldn’t mind the Pantone Color of the Year 2009 inspired Mimosa hue to add to my collection.
