Valentine’s Day is quickly approaching upon us and whether you’re a man or a woman I suggest you get your plans set in motion. Unlike most men, Victoria’s Secret doesn’t wait for the last minute to committ to the festivities and has already released their 2010 Valentine’s Day Collection. Modeled by the always gorgeous Miranda Kerr, there is a plethora of cherry patterns, pink sheer fabrics and suspenders to go around. Now if only I could get past the nausea caused by the over-abundance of candy hearts, pink and red over-priced flowers, and the cliche “show how much you love me by showering me with affection, costly outings, and gifts.” I buy in to the holiday, if you can even call it that, but can we all just admit that the day is a total farce? Wouldn’t it be better to have a national “Give to Charity Day” and treat the ones you love like you love them all year long instead of on one day? Personally, I am not buying roses this year. I am going to make a donation to a charity that needs it instead.
