Toms Shoes Vecino Botas

New for the 2009 holiday season is the Vecino Botas from Toms Shoes. As part of the brand’s new Familia Collection the shoe is a take on the Chukka boot made with weather resistant materials, a solid rubber out sole for increased durability, and a pretty fashionable update to the classic Toms silhouette. Botas is Spanish for “boot,” tying this new high top style back to the Argentine roots of the “One for One” brand. While I like Chukka boots aesthetically, I have never been able or willing to incorporate them into my wardrobe, but with an offering like the Vecino Botas, I just might have to make the leap.

Welcome to the site!!! I wouldn’t worry too much about it my friend. I have some people in their camp and I have been told that stores will be restocked in the coming weeks with the shoe for the holidays. It appears demand was much greater than expected. These are not a limited edition, so expect more colorways soon too. If you are in Southern California they are having a sample sale this weekend, but it isn’t at their Los Angeles office. It is up toward Magic Mountain I believe.

I feel you mcpenn. I got my foot in the door with the Vecino Botas AFTER they had told me if they sold out, tough luck. I didn’t know about the new colorways on the Vecinos. All I know is that I asked them if a shoe was ever sold out in a certain size, would they ever get any more in that size and TOMS2 gave me an emphatic no. But like a day later a size 9 was suddenly available. I ordered those brown botas immediately…even though I had ordered the black botas like a day earlier.

Yeah, they also told me that a restock would be unlikely, which I found odd considering their popularity…
