I have never really been a fan of tomatoes. They are great mixed in with with things, but alone I can’t stand the texture, but I digress. “Flying Tomatoes,” on the other hand, I am a huge fan of. Shaun White is the snowboarding equivalent to Michael Jordan who has single-handedly redefined the game. Shortly after showing the world his latest and greatest tricks invented specifically for his gold medal run at the 2010 Vancouver Olympic games, it was only appropriate that Sir Shaun “Flying Tomato” White now unveils to the world a brand new pair of Oakley frames dubbed the “Holbrook.” Take a close look, do the Holbrooks look somewhat familiar to you? You are having a case of déjà vu because the Holbrooks are a modern remake of the iconic Oakley Frogskins which you loyal readers know are my favorite frames every made. The glossy black acetate is accented by temple rivets and a keyhole nosebridge with, of course, gold medal lenses. If these ever come in a gradient lens option, I just might wet myself.
