    New Balance re-introduced the 996 collection to the US for Spring/Summer 2009. Designed and developed by New Balance Japan, the 996 takes its inspiration from different tones of color. Drawing on Japanese culture and flair brings different hues in patent, suede and leather for the 996. The shoe is now available in white/multicolor, purple/pink, and pink/red and on the heel of each shoe is a special pantone color swatch.Â
