Louis Vuitton Cruise 2010

We have already seen Gucci and Chanel‘s Cruise Collections and I was definitely excited to see what Louis Vuitton was going to offer. Marc Jacobs is still obsessed with the French equivolent of a “flirty chick” or as they say in France the “coquette.” For Louis Vuitton’s 2010 Cruise Collection Jacobs is taking his theme on safari or frolicking in Saint-Tropez while designer Paul Helbers touched on a theme that he plans to fully develop for the L.V. men’s line on the spring runway later this month: New York City bike messengers. Talk about polar opposites right? He mashed up the functionality of athleticwear with graphic elements of streetwear and ultrafine suits. Fabric patterns were said to be influenced by the American flag and bike helmets. It all sounds like gumdrops and lollipops, but I am not liking the men’s line at all.
