Brian Wood S/S 2010 Collection

     A lot can be said for a well cut piece of clothing.  The material, the quality of construction, even the brand name on the tag all take a significant back seat to how a piece of clothing actually fits your frame.  Enter Brian Wood‘s Spring / Summer 2010 Collection passionately titled “Our Ransom is Love.”  The offering clearly draws from the current military-inspired trend for Spring 2010 with a unique take on camouflage for a jacket, shorts, and as backing on cuffs and collars.  But, what really makes me admire the otherwise minimal nautical themed collection is the spectacular cut and tailored look of each piece on the models.  Not bad for a New York City based dude who graduated fashion school in 2001, bounced around as an intern for a while, and then launched out on his own gaining momentum in the graphic t-shirt genre.  Now if only I understood his obsession with the Dracula cartoon graphic.
