    When I saw the lookbook for next season’s Steven Alan collection I have to be a honest, I was a little disappointed. It wasn’t that the line wasn’t good, it is.  It was that I was just expecting pure greatness. The collection seemed a little too much like a bad Timberland dream. Well, Steven Alan has captured my heart again with his latest Spring / Summer 2009 Collection from his Blacker label. Steven Alan himself described the line as having a little bit of an “urban” feel to it with a touch of classic American style. You faithful readers out there already know I have a particular affection for the bow tie. Money Mr. Alan, money! Now if only we could get this brand in the U.S., it is a Japan only release for the foreseeable future.
