The Key Watch by Dunhill

A direct replica of a piece found in the Dunhill archive, the Key Watch has been reintroduced for 2009.  Some of dunhill’s most exquisite and inventive designs were presented during the 1930s in spite of the world’s economic crisis.  So, it only made sense that during this time so affectionately deemed “The Great Recession” that the Key Watch – originally from 1937 with a “skeleton” back displaying the movement – is reintroduced.  The new Key Watch is created using sterling silver and brass.  The actual clock casing is in sterling silver, a back of sterling silver protects the superior Jaeger-LeCoultre timepiece movement.  In order to ensure complete functionality, the key itself is made with brass (sterling silver is too weak and would break in the lock).
