Calvin Klein Ad Controversy

Calvin Klein has long been known for their racy and provocative ads.  And bless their little hearts for their new Eva Mendes campaign.  Well, it should come as no surprise that one billboard ad in particular is causing quite the uproar in New York.  Pictured are pedestrians and cars passing near the Calvin Klein billboard on the side of a building June 17, 2009 in the SoHo neighborhood of New York City.  The ad features a topless model and three undressing young men and is quite sexually suggestive.  Last time I checked the phrase was “sex sells.”  So, obviously you know I am in love with it.  Asked about the message in the ad, a Calvin Klein spokesman said the “intention was to create a very sexy campaign that speaks to our targeted demographic.”  And it does, I’m going to go buy a young woman to undress me right now.
