Annie Leibovitz & Lady Gaga for Vogue

I know it might be hard to imagine, but Lady Gaga appears in the December 2009 issue of Vogue as a Marc Jacobs-clad witch. Famed photographer Annie Leibovitz was chosen to shoot this Hansel and Gretel fashion fairy tale inspired by Richard Jones’ production of the 1893 Engelbert Humperdinck opera, opening December 14th at the Metropolitan Opera. Hansel and Gretel are played by actor Andrew Garfield and model Lily Cole who first appear wearing a Maison Martin Margiela shirt with Demeulemeester pants and a Dolce & Gabbana cream silk-and-tulle dress, respectively. Throughout the shoot look to see fashionable offerings from Dior, Fendi, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, Nicolas Ghesquière, Chloé, Nina Ricci, Oscar de la Renta and more. The shoot is classic Leibovitz, very whimsical.
