Hype Means Nothing iPhone Case

Typically I don’t really feature non-apparel related accessories on the site. There are plenty of sites out there on the web that can give you a better understanding of their features than this one. Today; however, is a very special day. Not only is Steve Jobs on the podium right now talking about the new iPhone 4 from WWDC 2010, but the world has also been blessed with a Hype Means Nothing iPhone case for your existing 3G models. With a new skin your 3G will be able to stay fresh just long enough for you to wait until the second generation of the iPhone 4 comes out. (Yes, I am still very much bitter about buying a 3G shortly before the 3GS release.) The new iPhone case from French label Hype Means Nothing takes the same iconic ”hand glasses” print, multiplies it by about 25 and wraps them all around your favorite smart phone. Whatever you do though, please don’t wear the shirt and rock the case as the same time. Two celebrities are better than one, ten are better than two, but only if they are actually with you. Otherwise you just look kind of creepy.

V Magazine “Where Were You…”

For V Magazine‘s 65th Issue they figured summer is a time for friends and put theirs to work asking them to their barely-there sea side snaps. The makeshift shoot titled “Where Were You… On The Beach?” features Miranda Kerr, Bar Refaeli, Raquel Zimmerman and even a topless Terry Richardson who answered the call. Definitely not your ordinary fashion feature, but in a way a better look at what these icons are actually wearing when their not getting paid to be shot.

Café Habana Malibu x Gourmet Quattro

I will never forget my first trip to New York years ago when I was in college. I was so overwhelmed by the city, the hordes of people, and the towering buildings reaching farther up into the sky than I had ever seen before. On my first day there visiting my friend at NYU we walked over to 17 Pierce Street where I had my first taste of Café Habana. The tiny seemingly overcrowded venue was not only packed full of celebrities sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with regular folk, but the wonderful smell of arroz con pollo sent my olfactory senses into overdrive. The memories are as fond as memories can come, so imagine my delight when I found out that this Memorial Day 2010 Café Habana will be opening a west coast location in Malibu, California. The site will be Malibu’s first solar powered restaurant. Complete with reborn wood benches from New York City’s Coney Island boardwalk and an actual antique bar inside the restaurant from Deadwood, South Dakota riddled with bullet holes. A custom roof top mint garden for mojitos and completely eco-friendly uniforms created by local designers using recycled denim and cotton (i.e. Rogue Territory Denim aprons) are many more unique touches make this a place you have to visit. To commemorate the event Gourmet, who took their name from the culinary world to denote high quality, whipped up 24 pairs of custom 100% cotton canvas Quattro hightop sneakers that are just as drool worthy as the food. Do yourself a favor and try the Cuban Sandwich, it is stupid tasty. Just stupid.

We Love Google So Much

This is one small step for man and one giant leap for team Bespokeordie!! Try to contain your level of excitement and enthusiasm, this is some pretty big time stuff. I have been working diligently on creative logo and branding ideas for future growth and happened to run into a bit of a slump. Eager for a slice of inspiration pie I decided to do a Google search on the word “bespoke.” Being so use to typing in the URL for the website I typed in “bespokeo” when out of nowhere pops up our name on Google’s drop down selection. It might not seem like a big deal to some of you out there, but to us it was huge. Thank you for stopping in, thank you for coming back, and thank you for your support. Whether you are a friend, family, or just found this site searching Google Images we appreciate you and look forward to helping you keep fashion alive for years to come.

Kanye West’s Los Angeles Home

It’s official Kanye West’s home away from home in Los Angeles is up for sale and it can be yours for about $4 Million U.S.D. The 3 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, 4,214-square-foot home in the Hollywood Hills boasts pop art, Kaws toys, cartoon characters and more mixed with modern Italian furniture and a B&O sound system. And, you can see the influence of similarly surrounded friends like Nigo’s Campbell’s Soup print obsession and a healthy dose of Takashi Murakami sprinkled throughout. The home, originally purchased in 2003 for $1,750,000, was designed by Los Angeles based firm Desiderata Design. My apologies if you are as sadden as I was when I found out that there were not shots of Mr. West’s closets. Kanye if you ever stop in, can we get a peek in to the boudoir?

As part of their “Journey of a Man’s Wardrobe” campaign, Todd Selby aka “The Selby” shot designer Verbal for Louis Vuitton. We get a detailed look at Verbal’s studio space in Tokyo, his favorite Louis Vuitton items and also some previews of what there is to come from his Ambush jewelry line, such as the “Eyeball” rings. Some of the sprinkles of Louis Vuitton of note throughout the shoot include the Chapka in leather and shearling, ”LV” Initiales belt in Damier canvas, Acetate sunglasses, Neo Sporty bag in Monogram Hexagone Canvas, hat and scarf in cashmere, and backpack in Monogram Macassar canvas just to name a few.

Nike Trainer SC 2010 Premium

The latest shoe in Nike‘s ever growing arsenal of sneaker perfection to get the boot aesthetic treatment is the Nike Trainer SC which you see here before you. The “2010 Premium” variant of the shoe comes dressed to impress with an upper made of several different premium brown leathers and strengthened with the Nike Flywire technology. “Bo Knows” is embroidered on the side-panel. Why does Bo know you ask? Well you may recall from the Nike Trainer SC 2010 20th Anniversary post that the shoe was originally designed for Bo Jackson circa 1990. If you buy these shoes I reserve the right to open hand “bitch slap” you if you do not pick up a pair of traditional workboot laces.

Soulland x V Man Adler Fedora Giveaway

As part of V Man’s dedication to Scandinavia in its latest issue, now on newsstands, the brand’s web presence is launching a giveaway at 2 p.m. today for two navy “Adler Fedora Hats” from the Danish brand Soulland. Created by Soulland’s head designer, Silas Adler, the Adler Fedora is a hybrid between a classic fedora and a baseball cap. It is the product of one of the last factories in Scandinavia that still uses old world, artisan hat-making techniques. Along with the giveaway, V Man will debut an exclusive video of a visit to the factory where the fedoras are made. Each hat retails for $268 and is sold at Assembly New York, 174 Ludlow Street. The giveaway begins today and ends Monday, May 2.

Pharrell & Lupe x Terry Richardson Shoot

You never know who is going to stop by Terry Richardson‘s studio and pop up on his photo diary these days. Just to give you a perspective on how completely random it has been for the notorious photographer as of late the male cast from Jersey Shore, Ben Stiller, Bar Refaeli, and Shaun White have all made an appearance in front of his lens in recent months. Next up, the one and only Pharrell Williams and Lupe Fiasco. Pay close attention and you will note that Mr. Williams is rock’n what appears to be a variant of a Kabbalah Red String Evil Eye Bracelet. I am not a follower of Kabbalah, but being Middle Eastern I have been known to wear an evil eye bracelet from time to time. What am I alluding to you say? Pharrell jacked my style. That’s right, I said it.

V Man Shrek of a Guy

V Man Magazine has graciously provided these advance photos shot by famed photographer Ellen von Unwerth and styled by Nicola Formichetti (Lady Gaga‘s stylist) for the upcoming V Man Magazine (Issue #18) shot on location at The Standard New York. This year’s “V a Model/Ford Models” search winner Emma Dumont is featured in the spread paired with Shrek characters on loan from Dreamworks animation. The shoot also coincides with the upcoming fourth and final chapter of the Shrek movie franchise with is scheduled for release May 21st in IMAX 3D.
